There is a huge tub of cream cheese sitting in my fridge. I can’t stand waste (and there is just so many bagels & cream cheese I can eat!) so I decided to make cookies! I used Tastes of Lizzy T’s recipe with some minor modifications and it came out ?. Sharing it here!
Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies
- 28 g unsalted butter
- 42 g cream cheese
- 50 g granulated sugar
- 90 g all ourpose flour
- 1/4 tsp corn starch
- 1/8 tsp baking powder
- pinch salt
- Cream together butter, cream cheese and sugar. Add in egg and mix until light and fluffy.
- Combine flour, corn starch, baking powder and salt together. Fold and mix into the butter mixture until a crumbly dough forms. Transfer to plastic wrap and form into a solid log. Wrap and refrigerate overnight or for about 4 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350F. Slice the cookie log into 1/4 inch pieces and place it on a parchment lined baking tray. Bake for about 15 minutes or until the edges just starts to lightly brown.
